My Wild Horse!

Today my boyfriend Tyler and my older brother Catlin finished up the fences in the back acreage for a pen for Twister to get turned out in. For the past four months he was up by the house in the barn paddock, which was very small.  They had to move a lot of dirt to fix the washed out road so we could get him back there, the road isnt finished but it was good enough to go ahead and move him.

When we turned him out he was SO excited to have room to run and play. He ran and bucked like a crazy horse. He had his tail flagging and was snorting and it was so wonderful to get to watch him stretch his legs and burn some of that energy he's been storing!

I have owned Twister since 2005. He's an amazing horse and I feel lucky to own him. in 2009 I let my 'friend' have him for a year and a half to ride. In September 2010 she contacts me and tells me that he is in bad shape and she needs to bring him back to me right then. He was skin and bones and looked like death. It was a long road to recovery because we didn't want to shock his system by giving him too much feed and hay at a time. 7 months after I got him back he was back healthy. Now he's super chubby and out of shape, which I'd rather than him being too skinny!

here is a before and after pic.

Here are a few pictures of him running and playing this afternoon, as soon as Tyler uploads the ones he took i'll add those as well.
