Hello! I am starting this blog as a way to post about my adventures as a mother. I have a 4 year old son named Allen, and my boyfriend Tyler and I are expecting another little boy January 2, 2012 named Liam Thomas.
We are "offbeat" parents. We plan to cloth diaper, exclusively breastfeed, baby wear, attachment parent, non/delayed vaccines, and just give all of our love to our little family!
We are originally from St. Augustine, Fl, but currently live in a small town in Alabama. We have hopes to return to St. Augustine as soon as we are able to.
We are into tattoos, punk music, video games, and I am an avid horseback rider. I also love to crochet and sew. I plan to start sewing my own cloth diapers soon, and hopefully will be able to become a WAHM and sell diapers, crocheted hats/booties/blankets. I would love to open up a brick and mortar store to sell natural parenting items, like cloth diapers, breastfeeding supplies, cute baby clothes, etc.. but that will be a few years from now if it happens. I think it would be a lot more successful in St Augustine than in my small Alabama town. Our town has a population of less than 11,000.. and we are the only "offbeat" parents in the area!
Tyler and I met when I was in 2nd grade and he was in 3rd(1998). My older brother was best friends with one of his older brothers, so we were around each other a lot! I had a crush on him for as long as I can remember. It took us until 2010 to get together, after both of us being with the wrong people and finally realizing that we were made for each other. But the wait was worth it!
I am really excited to have this blog.. I will be posting a few pregnancy updates here and there, as I only have 2.5 weeks left. There will be a big update with birth story and pictures.. and then the real fun begins! I am so excited to blog about my experiences having a newborn and a preschooler.. and all the adventures that come with having a house full of boys!
